Finding Renewal in Christ
This morning, our pastor preached a message titled “Hit the Reset Button”—and it’s one I think our weary world needs to hear.
The focus was 2 Corinthians 5:17:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
When Jesus enters our lives, He doesn’t just give us a slight course correction—He offers a complete reset. He invites us into a brand new life where our past doesn’t define us, our failures don’t control us, and our regrets no longer hold us captive.
The Power of a Reset
Think about how often we wish we could restart:
- A conversation we handled poorly
- A relationship we strained
- A choice we made that still haunts us
Studies show that a large percentage of Americans live with daily regret—some small, some life-altering. But here’s the good news: God’s mercy is greater than our mistakes. A reset in Christ not only wipes the slate clean, but transforms our attitudes, which in turn changes our actions.
A New Perspective
When Jesus renews us, we begin to see life differently. We start valuing people over possessions, purpose over performance, and eternal impact over temporary satisfaction. What once consumed our energy no longer has the same grip.
Hope for the Weary
Lamentations 3:21-23 reminds us:
“Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
God doesn’t just offer one reset at salvation—He offers fresh grace every single morning.
Your Invitation
Maybe today you feel like you’ve been carrying the same weight for too long.
Maybe you’ve been stuck in regret, fear, or self-condemnation.
Maybe you’ve just been running on empty.
The invitation is simple: Hit the rest button.
Let Jesus renew your mind, restore your peace, and refill your heart with hope.
If you’re ready for that kind of reset—or if you need someone to pray with you—send me a message. I’d love to walk alongside you.
